ParentSmart

Hello and Welcome to ParentSmart Family Resource Center! We are the school where family is at the heart of education.

 

I am Shelby N. Patterson, the Adult Education-GED teacher at ParentSmart. I am a 2003 graduate of Clemson University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English/Language Arts and a minor in Psychology. After relocating to Rock Hill in August 2003, I began the most important facet of my life- service in education. I am also a 2008 graduate of Winthrop University where I earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Secondary Education and English/Language Arts. Prior to joining the dynamic and dedicated staff of ParentSmart in school year 2010-2011, I taught high school English/Language Arts courses for seven years. 

 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy serving families and children in need, reading, dancing, socializing with family and friends, and traveling.
